Unfortunately, Dan's Mum was taken very ill last week, and he is taking some time out to look after her whilst she recovers. Dan has decided that, since he may be absent from the forum for a long period, he wishes to stand down as moderator, although this will only be temporary and he is free to re-assume the role as soon as he feels able to do so.
I know that some members are already aware of the situation and have also contacted Dan directly, and he was very touched by your genuine concern. This forum has gone through some very rocky times, and no doubt that there will more ahead, but the community spirit is very strong and you can all take pride at being a large part of that. I am pleased to know that new friendships have been forged over the last few months which will last way beyond the forum.
