Has anybody upgraded the software yet on these cd players. If so, is it worthwhile. I assume this would be via CD-rom from Denon?

It's even easier than that. You don't need to wait for a cd from Denon - simply download the latest version of firmware for your particular Denon unit, burn it to CD-R - then 2 minutes later, you've got a unit as high in performance as the very latest unit, bought that day in a shop.

But, you may not have to upgrade - you might have the latest firmware in your Denon unit already. Here's how to check.

Hold down the PRESET buton for 2 seconds.

This will take you into the units Reset Menu, which is full of all sorts of great options, like whether you'd like the unit to show remaining time or elapsed time for the playing track, how much graphic warning yo'd like on-screen that the track is about to end, what you'd like the track to do when you drop the fader to zero on your mixer etc...

Turn the Parameters knob (track select knob) until the display shows "Version" - this will tell you what firmware version your unit is. make a note of the version, both for the DSP and SYS (press the parameter knob to change between them)

Go to the DenonDJ.com website and lok nder the section for your Denon unit to see the latest DSP and SYS version - if the numbers are the same as yours, then you don't need to upgrade your firmware.
