Just been going through playlists for the last 12 months and the top ten slowies were:

Angels - Robbie Williams
You Raise Me Up - Westlife
Listen To Your Heart - DHT ft. Edmee
We've Got Tonight - Lulu And Ronan Keating
How Do I Live (Radio Edit) - LeAnn Rimes
Fields of Gold - Eva Cassidy
When You Say Nothing At All - Ronan Keating
Sacrifice - Elton John
My Heart Will Go On [1998] - Celine Dion
Because of You - Kelly Clarkson

So Robbies still at the top at the moment but I think he's got that sinking feeling and will be slipping down.

Don't play slowies if I can help it smile.gif so they would have to be requested most of the time. I do like We've Got Tonight - Lulu And Ronan Keating though.
Paul Smith
I'm with you Tony - slowies at the start & during the buffet - but occasionally I get persuaded to do a slow set. Here's my most recent requests:

The Rose - Westlife
Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers
Everything I Do - Bryan Adams
Amazed - Lonestar
Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinead O'Connor
If Tomorrow Never Comes - Garth Brooks
a few more by Westlife

and to bring them out of a slow set American Pie - Don Mclean

Strangely, last Saturdays wedding wanted You're Beautiful by James Blunt?!?!?! And they wanted for the last track Always by Bon Jovi....

Talk about weird songs for a wedding.....

I think the most requested second "first" dance is Van Morrison - Have I Told You Lately......
Secret Disco
Luther Vandross -dance with my father
Aerosmith- I dont wanna miss a thing
Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight
Take that- How deep is your love
Mariah Carey- without you
Elvis- Cant help falling in love
Robbie-angels
phylis nelson- move closer
atlantic starr- always
thats enough to make them moist................ inlove.gif

I use quite a number of those already mentioned, Bon Jovi's 'Always' and the Aerosmith one being most regularly requested at the moment. Here's a list of other ones I play l frequently at the end of a night, depending on the type of function I'm doing.

The Verve - The Drugs Don't Work
Chicago - If You Leave Me Now
Nilsson - Without You
Gene Vincent - Over The Rainbow
Ryan Adams - Wonderwall
Skeeter Davis - End Of The World (or the Los Straitjackets version)
Freddie Starr - It's You (Yes Freddie Starr the comedian)
Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody
Westlife - Queen Of Hearts
Roxy Music - Jealous Guy
Styx - Babe
Scorpions - Wind Of Change

Like the Gene Vincent one but "Matchbox" from the 70's do a really good version of "over the rainbow"

I like the Eva Cassidy version for reasons of association with a memorable occasion.

atlantic star always...good track, great lyrics

Always get asked for Andy williams - cant take my eyes off you

But even if not requested, I always play the boys town gang version....much better imo, good upbeat starting track after first dance....always works for me
