Hi, I have been asked to build a playlist of songs to fit with Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel, and have been asked to do a "Walkabout" style DJ set for the function

Any suggestions for this would be gratefully appreciated and if you don't know about Walkabout bars, then dont worry, any suggestions welcome

Yes, sounds like the bar.

For those who don't know, the name suggests all - a big bar where you can, er, Walkabout.

From memory, that means some older songs (80s ish) and maybe 90s too mixed with newer tracks.

Yea, but can you not walkabout in any bar....its not like your handcuffed to a chair or something is it.....

The usual difference here is that these bars have a main dancefloor downstairs, and then some other space for drinking and also lots of upstairs space too.

The Walkabout thing sounds like a red herring. Presumably they want you to DJ like the guy in your local 'Walkabout' which is a chain of Aussie Bars. Nothing to do with the shape and size of the bars.

I suggest going to said venue and checking it out.

Edited: oh yes, they seem to have clubs tacked on, usually downstairs/in the basement.
