thanks for the links andyw (i didnt have the time to do a search last night).

i think i must have over 14,000 tracks on vinyl and cd now but still find a few on theese sort of lists that ive missed.

But Jim, Do you physically know all of your tunes, because I have 650 and I look at the titles and I actually have to play some of them to remember what they are.... sad.gif

its like riding a bike, you never forget.

ok,thats a bit of a fib.
when i was using vinyl i knew every song in my collection and what box it was in just by looking at the colour of the sleeve. after looking at the first 12" in the box i knew what else was in there as well.
now im using cds its not as easy. as each cd holds on average 15-20 tracks its more difficult to remember (or im getting old) Protest_emoticon.gif

Absolutely not. I would guess that the average DJ "has to" play loads of tunes that he hates.
I'm sure Mika gets played all the time just now.....

sad to say, yes it matters.
i think every dj on here hates some tunes that they have to play on a regular basis.
your being hired as an entertainer so its what the punters want and not what you want that counts.

Better off going to a computer fayre in your area a get blank CD's on a spool of 100 for £3.00
.................although i get these japanese ones and they havent let me down yet.
