"Give"
At £1 a piece you wont make much profit from a nights work .
We once tried making balloon animals for the under 5s who attend some wedding functions etc , but ! there was a never ending que of kids wanting one , trying to keep the music , dancing , requests going as well as those bl***y balloons

I've seen them advertised for as little as 30p each, and I'm quite sure, given a bit of time, I can get them cheaper, but it would have to be a bulk buy

Belive me you will make a hell of a lot and BTW they go for ~£2 - £3. If you think about this its £14 for a packet of 100 glow sticks if you sell em for £2 each you get £186. Which is quite a lot.
Also if you just throw they out free. People get excited and it livens the event. I only give out about 25 and I notice an impovement in the atmosphere the second i give them out!!

Do you really need glow sticks????
You should be busy enough with your night, playing the right music...if it is the right music then they wont be going anywhere & you wont have to worry about keeping them in.

I only use them at kids parties, once again its the hook......... something that gets you remembered and more bookings rolling in.
PS Only give em out towards the end of the function otherwise the little cherubs throw them around and lose them and I only do it as they are eliminated from a game or something, that way every child only gets 1 (cost to a minimum) and also they don't mind being eliminated!

You've mis read it 3rd G
- the price is PER TUBE OF 100 pcs so you pay $990 for 100 tubes of 100 sticks = 10000 Glowsticks for $990.
If you look at the price of $12.95 this is for a tube of 100
and works out at about £8.21 per 100. If you bought 50 packs x 100 = 5000 glowsticks you would pay $9.95 for each pack which works out at $497.50 or £315.00 which would work out at £6.30 per 100.

the cheapest way to do it is to offer it to your client as an extra - and charge them!!
The Spindoctor
Apr 21 2003, 11:55 PM
Well I can see where you're coming from, but everybody loves something for nothing especially where kids are involved.
I'd rather offer them the bubble machine and snow machine as extras and throw in the glo sticks free
