Strange topic to many I am sure....

However, whilst sitting here at my dest this morning working hard (ahem) one of my colleagues was chatting to me about the disco and about music in general..

She asked me about mixing etc and then said.....

Do you mix slow songs too?

I had a quick think and realised that no I don't, nor have I ever done so....

Anyone mix their erection section? inlove.gif

Can it be done easy enough?

I love expressions like that, nothing like keeping DJ's where the public think they should be.

tis possible and yes if two songs are sounding the same.. but i normaly blend the so called erection section as I only ever play slow songs at wedding type functions...

????

As long as you choose (correctly) when to use an expression, then what's the harm?

I can't see the problem....

They don't mix that well, but tend to blend into each other if you plan.

I understand what some of you are saying here...
I certainly don't use that term when I am out.. Just hear amoungst fellows.....

I also just blend in, it was just the fact that my colleague mentioned it, and I hadn't thought of it before...
I am gonna haev a look in weeks to come!!! lol, might find something interesting! Possibly even coming out of a slowie into a more beaty rhythmical tune...

May be interesting!!!

Try coming out of the candlelight mix of heaven by dj sammy into the more upbeat version or even the same transition with cascada's everytime we touch

I did an erection section in my saturday night club resideny for 6 weeks in a row back in the summer at the management's request. Personally I didn't think it was going to work, but to my surprise it did. Got the odd person coming up saying what you playing this slow ********* for, but the dancefloor was still busy. Goes to show you can't automatically assume things won't work. It's nice when you try something different and it pays off
