OK, a change of continent (from the East End):

I have a wedding in July which will have a few Mexicans present.

Obvious choices are Shakira, Enrique Inglesias, Carlos Santana, Los Lobos, and anything sort of Latin (I have a few Latin albums), but does anyone here actually have experience of playing to Mexican guests? Or can offer any advice?

I'll probably only need a few songs as they've already supplied a list of over 120 songs wallbash.gif although it's a great list (as well as all the normal wedding favorites and cheese it contains lots of 80's soul & funk, 70's disco and a few modern house/dance tracks + 15 ballads for the end wallbash.gif ).

Off to the world music section at Virgin with yourself Mister!
I learnt some of there traditional music on guitar but I've just done the cockney & reggae requests, and I can't think any further! flex.gif

You could try a summer samba type album available in HMV and so on, gypsy kings, champs - tequila, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estifan and other spanish style music. I would not go out of my way though unless told so upfront. Otherwise a bit like going to somerset and playing the wurzels all night long.
