I vaguely remember a couple of years ago seeing a piece of software for Mobile Dj's that handled all the paperwork. i.e. you enter clients name and address and a few other details and it printed out the booking form etc etc.

Does anyone use anything like this or know where it might be available from

Ta very much in advance.

I probably could do it myself with Ms Access or similar but really dont have the time or the inclination. So am willing to maybe part with some dosh for the right package if available

What sort of package is this? and how much does it cost?

Blimey, that looks like it does 900% more than I require.

all I really wanted was something I could type all the details into date price, address etc. it would then print booking form . invoice . and keep records of all.

I do not want all the website interaction that that one has, although it looks an interesting package

Have A Look At Me

This is a lot simpler. It's designed by Brian Canning and I know where he live's (evil laugh)

Just downloaded the trial, seems a bargain at £40.00 if i was to download the full version.

Currently use my own template in word but this has a much more pro feel - the only down side i can find at the moment is that there is not enough room for all my T's and C's!

I agree with the t&c's part

however i think its an ideal bit of kit, and for £40 it aint bad.

Finally programs that have been designed for us. I normally have to make my own and to be honest because of my limited knowledge I struggled to make something that looked good and do not have that many problems it could have been a member of the Labour party.

Its scary but i had to learn myself most of Word, excel etc as when i was at school Windows was not really about and i could only play games that involved knocking a dot around the screen

The software has been around for many years, it even won the TVDJA award for best new DJ product at the back end of the nineties. I have the current version which I am desperately trying to get to fall over - it hasn't yet. If you think this is good, you should see some of his other software.

I am just wondering if there is anyway of fixing the Terms and cond thing as it printed out 4 bits of paper and if i was sending this to a customer it would not make sense

I had this problem too - is this just because its the trial version?
mikeee
Send an email to the support @ address. I haven't run into this problem - yet.

After a quick play with the free trial I have let the moths loose from my wallet and parted with £40

Thanks Mikee, I suspect he may be near me as well looking at the telephone number ( same area code )
mikeee
I suspect you are not wrong

Put your T&C's on your website, and in the paperwork, just put the wording, I agree with the T&C's which have been read at www.yourdisconame.co.uk

wizard
Their are a lot of T&C to put in the contract. ( in the space alloted to them in the s/w) may have to try and cut them down a bit

I am just juggling with the templates in the s/w to put the t&c at the end of the contract rather than in the middle

Do you think it would be ok just to put I agree to the t&c set out on the website at www.blahblah. Nice idea but I suspect not which is a bit of a shame.
jamminroadshow
I was thinking about putting i agree to terms and condition attached and just printing them on a separate sheet
YourBigEvent
I played with the software a few years ago, cannot download it at the moment, it says I have something missed and will not install.
jamminroadshow
I had that click the other one setup i think that it is the main download kept telling me that the file was missing from my temp file
wizard
I have just juggled around with the template so that the T&C comes at the end on a seperate page. Also adding logo at the top.

somewhere in the help files is a list of all the tags which meand you can design your own page. just insert the tags where necessary.

Their is also a readme file that tells you what to do if it doesn't load properly.

Why not print your schedule and details on the front and your T&C's on the back??

you swine mikee! tongue.gif

I had that idea today at lunch, but as i was in redditch and have only just reached a computer you have beaten me to it!!! thumbup.gif

I'm certainly going for this option - great minds hey?! amen.gif

I have noticed a few bugs in the s/w ....surprising since it's been around for so long

if you print a post event feedback form to send out it dates it with the date of the contract not the event. and the number of guests had the wrong tag. or at least it did on mine

easily fixed tho.

some more options on the reports would be useful........... I feel an e-mail to the developer coming on

HI!
Sooo, i have just purchased this software and dealt with the T and C's by printing them on the reverse of the sheet.

Only prob now is there is a huge white gap in the middle of the contract, has anyone been able to play with the sortware to:-

1) make the letter size smaller to fit the t+c's in or
2) find a way of filling this gap/playing with the layout?

You can just edit the template file for each contract they are stored in the folder that you installed the software to normally c:programme files/ netresults/templates.

they are easily editable in MS Word. I have actually got mine to print 2 copies with one stating client copy and one my copy to be signed and returned. ( added at the bottom of the contract)

Interesting to see a write up of it in the latest pro mobile mag.

Also I believe the guy who wrote the proggy lives just up the road from me..........must search him out.
YourBigEvent
I want to use this software, however having finally getting it to install, I can get it to work, so after looking at the website, and finding no contact details I will not be purchasing it, unless someone can call me to discuss the problems.
