Hmmm, I'm still not a fan of made up "D.J" based Names, since I think it alienates you from the general public. I don't think that there is anything wrong with your given name either, and I actually do know of a D.J called Jack Spratt - so you think you've got it bad!.
Some entertainers change their real name slightly to make it more appealing, or exciting, and this would then be known as your stage name. Provided you didn't need to sign any legal documents, then it wouldn't be an issue, if you do need to sign contracts, then simply register your "stage" name as a business name
