Hi All - after some advice.

I have just received 2 shiny Datamoons, Flight case and controller.

I've unpacked everything and found the bracket was covering the lens..... no problem so far.

However, when I unscrewed partially and tried moving the bracket to the top of the light the bracket will not pass the front edge of the light!?! I had to undo the bracker screw fully (resulting in the bolt inside the casing rattling around inside, cover off, etc)

To cut a long story short I now have the bracket inplace, however I would like to transport the lights with the bracket covering the lens and do not want to unscrew the bracket fully everytime.

I do have the flight case and can squeeze it shut with the brackets at the back, but it is not ideal.

Anyone got any ideas or experienced the same issue........I am starting to think it is just me!

Cheers in advance you lovely people.

Hi, I have same problem with a number of my effects lights, it is purly down to geometry. The distance between the the pivot point of the bracket to the top edge of the light is just too small. This is made even worse when like me I want to have the light clamp fitted all the time.

On one effect (a lyquest terminator) it was posible to drill additional holes that allows the bracket to swivel infront of the lens during transport. Drawback is the lamp hangs a bit lower. On other effects it is not possible to do this, especially the long bodied types and the hanging bracket is the same length as the lamp body. The way I overcame this was to make a longer bracket in mild steel, drilled and painted black!

Thanks Cheezy.

I may look at making a slightly longer bracket.

Cheers,
Simon
