Been uploading all my music to OTS over the past couple of weeks and so far have only uploaded 1500 songs, only another 8000 or so to go..... God its soooo tiring, there has to be an easier way 9.gif

Just wanted to thank Mr Harris for helping me set up OTS, what a hassle but I know it will be worth it in the long run.

Wait until you do the karaoke if you go down that route...

Does OTS hold it all in its own database?

Does it not access any folder that you point to (on the fly)?

All the tracks are converted to OTS files and are stored in my "OTS Music Folder" on my desktop.

Just wish I had a multiple disc drive, now that would be great. tongue.gif

How long does 1 file take....and will it not take multiples (say 1000 a time)?

if your using an internet capable PC then you can use Ots studio and cddb to convert your songs to Ots with all the relevant info obtained from the net saves you typing loads of tunes and artists...

A good reason to up load the CD's as uncompressed/lossless WAV or FLAC files, and then use them to create OTS or mp3 files. (FLAC has the advantage of having tags which can be added automatically via various web databases in the way that Nik mentions.)

By saving the WAV or FLAC files you will never have to go through this process again (if for example you decide at a later date that you want your files at a higher bit rate).
