mike dicken died in a car crash in cornwall 18/12/2006, i personally thought he was a great presenter and i always used to listen to his show driving home after a gig, he definetly was not part of the pc brigade and his views on life upset many people but he seemed to say what most people were thinking.

Oh my god this is tragic news as some one who works for the UTV Group of which talk Sport is a part he will be a colleague sadly missed... He was a great talk presenter...

Yup Mike Dickin started off as the first voice on BBC Radio Oxford, also worked for LBC and Capital amongst others

Recently worked for Talksport which used to be part of the Wireless Group, which was bought out by UTV, now forms part of the UTV Radio Group


Mike was always entertaining and interesting, never PC, but certainly with his finger on the button of what the average man or woman on the bus thought.

May he rest in peace.

Driving Home from gigs will never be the same again RIP Mike.
