Whisky In A Vase

Work most weekends of the year, never get nervous, always have a good relationship with the adults who are at the party. Playing the music they want to hear and dance to.
Love doing the job of entertaining them and have been doing so for 10 years.....never advertise but always plenty of work.....
Then up pops my nieces 11 year old birthday party.......Nightmare on elm street..
Don't get me wrong when the parents are there at a 40th, 50th, wedding anniversary, wedding any do really, I like the kids, but when it is a particular kids party when my sister literally bribes you (how could you say no, your her godfather, yadda yadda yadda) into doing it, the kids just make me nervous..
So I just want to make sure I don't miss any 'classic' up to date hits that i simply must have.
Any thing else I may need to know would also be appreciated
Ta very much.....
Have a good one.

I agree with Jimbo - the Pop Party/Princess CD's are like cut-down versions of the Now Albums but targetted at the much younger generation. You'll have all the tracks I expect, just check the track listing on t'internet so you know what to be playing.
Obviously, ask your niece!

Thanks chaps.
I have asked her to ask her mates to request songs prior to Sunday, but you know what their like.
I have them 2 cd's any way so hopefully should be ok.
It always feels strange tonight is a black tie dinner for 200, tomorrow afternoon xmas party for 100, tomorrow night same venue for 150. I am fine with these 3 gigs.....Then on Sunday 6-8, 40 kids aged 8-11 and I am worried....
Hopefully will go ok.

I would definitely include Monster - Automatic and I Dont Fell like Dancing - Scissor Sisters. They are probably more into chart stuff but you have to be careful about the lyrics!
They also like some of the "cheesy" stuff like Cha Cha Slide, Macarena & locomotion.
The problem with asking what they like is that they will sometimes come up with a list of chart stuff that is inappropriate (because of the lyrics) or is music you can't dance to. I wouldn't play Sexy Back or anything by Pink for example but they often ask for it.

You will be fine, just relax and enjoy them they are great remember that there now young adults even at that age respect them for it and they will respect you.
I find at that age they just what to listern and dance to tunes no games. but I do take sweets for them.
Must haves are
High School Musical
Bing Bang ( Lazy Town )
All the dance tunes including the Time Warp. 5.6.7.8. Cotton eyed Joe. Reach, Macarena, Cha Cha Slide etc.
Clean versions of
Pink Lets get this party started is good and requested I find.
Sean Paul
Automatic Monsters.
Charts Stuff
I find you do get asked for all the old stuff as well like Build me up buttercup etc. I think because they hear it at adult parties.
Good luck and I hope this helps.
