Following on from another thread in the chat section - Does a dance floor equal a great night, it got me thinking about tunes we play that we think NOBODY else plays, the ones we dig out, dust them down give them a long overdue airing. The tunes you think make you that little bit different.

I would bet we probably all play them. Bearing in mind the variety of gigs we do, pubs, clubs, weddings, birthdays etc. Most of my gigs are in pubs.

So here's my three tunes I play that nobody else does......IPB Image head above parapet.

1. Step on - Happy Mondays

2. Back of my hand - Jags

3. Echo beach - Martha and the Muffins

Do YOU play those?

I often play Crazy Elephant - Gimme Gimme Good lovin, never heard it played by anyone else since the seventies. Works well with Creedence.
Another one I like to play is Tami Lynn - I'm gonna run away with you. and Felice Taylor - I feel love coming on. All these tracks take me back to the fairgrounds when I was a young lad, and they still work with the right crowd.
High Fidelity
My 3, there are more, but as requested I'll just pick 3.

Maxine Nightingale - Right Back Where We Started From
Lutricia McNeal - Nine Times Out Of Ten
ELO - Hold On Tight
shakermaker
Doing my Request Fest nights means that I play a lot of stuff that gets dusted off or pops up from the dark depths of peoples memories...

Now and then I will chuck in the odd tune that I haven't played for ages.

R Dean Taylor - There's a ghost in my house
Tubeway Army - Are 'friends' electric?
The Specials - Nite Klub
jamesmurphy
I played both of these on Saturday
Nu Shooz - I Cant Wait
High Gloss - You'll Never Know

My 3:

I'll go with a Rock theme:

The Who - Won't get fooled again

Snow Patrol - Run

Black Sabbath - Paranoid

The O'Jays & Delerium also feature quite often in my sets but I'll try a few of the others this week as well so keep them coming .....................

I'll say a big YEP to that'n
Can't be bothered to pick my way through the rest of the thread = lazy git!

But a little aside, 221.gif
how many times have I seen it argued in here that "we are professional DJ's because we weigh up the audience and play the right music for them"
Yet, here we have guys queueing up to tell us what they play "because I just love it"
