I've been given a Karaoke CD from which I need to use a couple of tracks for a teenagers party. The CD is a Mr Entertainer Karaoke Collection.
As they only want to sing two tracks I intend to just run it on the laptop. Have downloaded Karafun but play is a little bit jerky playing from the CD but is fine with the sample tracks from the hard drive. Is there anyway I can rip the tracks to the hard drive to see if they run better? The file format is CDA.
Thanks
Gary

The legalities of ripping even audio tracks to a different medium are legally grey at best. Ripping karaoke tracks, where video content is also involved is likely to be even more of a minefield as then VPL become involved.
Could any members with advice on "here's how to rip karaoke..." please reply to TonyB via PM, rather than publically on the thread. A VPL representative could easily be reading this thread and making a list of who's naughty and nice....or that list thing could well be some other fella....I've been playing far too many Christmas songs already...
