do you know of any free software that will lift the channel off a track? I would like to lift the vocals and guitar off some tracks that i have?

Hi Dan, There are a few programs that can remove vocals from a track but to be honest none of them seem to work very well.
I did a quick search and there are a couple HERE
As far as removing guitar is concerned i think that that would be harder than a vocal, I could not find anything on that other than commercial companies, offering this service.

This chap, Dsico (The Talent Hack) has a page that tells you how to make your own accapellas, he's had some good results using this method..
Am looking at getting Cool Edit Pro just to play around with anyone else use it, or any others ?
I think cool edit have closed up shop
