I've read a couple of online reviews by people who suggest that the number of standout tunes on this one is smaller than on previous releases.
Any comments from those who have it already?

this is a quality album.... some great tunes on it...My fav's are oh by Janita.... lovely salsa style soul choon and sing for free by trace..... quality stepping choon..... oh and a very good choon by black box (yes as in ride on time)..... fall into my love - went down a storm at caister

you will definately enjoy it.... its been on in the car for 6 weeks now! the missus is getting a bit bored of it now though!!!!

I also like the CD, but the Soul Togetherness CD's can only reflect the music that's being played.
I agree the Black Box tune is superb, as is the Millie Jackson (who's a favourite of mine)

Good point. Does this suggest it's moving in a different direction than before?

Now that I've had a listen I agree. It's a good album.
Just got "Soul Lounge 3" which is rather nice too.
