I am after some information on a Warrior XS1000 amp i have bought. I was told that at 4ohms it gave out 500w per channel, but on the back of the amp it reads 370w at 4ohms. When i ring the person that sold it and asked if it was 500w per channel or 370w per channel at 4ohms he started waffling on with all techy talk telling me it depends on cables, setup etc. which lost me. wacko.gif

Does anybody know how you can actually get 500w per channel at 4ohms.

I have tried looking on the Web but haven't found any information about the amp to help me. Any help/info will be very gratefully received.

Thanks.

Which by the way is absolute bollox. Yes, using the correct cable is important, and yes by using long lengths of solid bell wire you are going to get big losses!, but even using the worst cable in the world twice around a sports hall then, and maybe then would you lose 120 Watts of power rolleyes.gif . You are unlikely to lose 120 Watts of power between your amp and speaker in a standard mobile disco set up. I'd send it him back and tell him to wear it has a hat laugh.gif .

Seriously, I considered the Warrior Range, but dropped it in favour of the C-Mark versions which I do now instead, since I got a better deal. The Warrior spec sheets did seem to contradict themselves though on the true RMS Output of the Amplifier. However I would go off what is written on the back of the amplifier rather than what some photocopied sheet of paper, or some dealer told you.
