Not a bad collection if you don't have most of them already. tongue.gif

Obviously aimed at teenagers for Christmas.
TonyB
I've ordered it! I have some of them which I downloaded from the Woolies site but prefer to have them on CD. Teenagers are my target market at the moment so must try to "get with it" a bit :-)

Not bad track list
Ive known worse now albums

And ive NOT had these for ages tongue.gif
Danno13
Not bad really.. there's 7 that i don't have.. and loads more that i wish i hadn't of had to fork out 79p each for on Napster. But hey, what can you do when the now albums are so behind. I still buy them just to carry on my collection though, and i can rip the tracks at 320 instead of using the 192s from napster.

Hi jack alert!!!!

Never used to think that there was much between 192 and 320 bit rates.

So I did a test for myself. I now rip at 320.

Track list is ok to good, a good stock up for the Christmas party rush, IF you don't already have them whistling.gif

I ALWAYS rip at 320. Now 64 & 65 have both had good track listings, probabaly to make up for the very poor 64.

Shame it don't come out on Friday though

I was going to continue to hijack this thread by adding my thoughts on why it's not worth ripping at anything less than 320Kbs, but I've decided to start a new thread here.
Andy Westcott
I don't think there is much on there for us lot, but I suppose I'll have to buy it - under protest, you understand.

And I rip (if I need to) at 320.
No need to rip at less than this these days, but it's a good idea to get some decent software to do the job - if it encodes really fast it probably isn't doing a very good job of it.

You could subscribe to the "Mastermix" pro disk and the "CD Pool" radio disk each month and you would have had pretty much all these and more.

I don't bother with the Now disks anymore.

Got most of them already. boff.gif

I spend less using Napster and can update my music every week instead of waiting till the end of the month for the new new MM or CD pool disc.

By the time the Pro Disc comes out i usually have most of them already! Plus, i can only download the decent tracks and leave out the fillers that they put in.

I did use to subscribe to DMC DJ Only, which i felt was much better value and included better tracks than the others, but then they started the essential hits series meaning i'd have to buy both CDs to get all the music i'd need. It was then i started using Napster and never looked back.

Like i say, i don't begrudge buying the Nows, as i have every one since NOW 18 so don't want to stop the collection - and i like having the higher quality rips.

i voted hit, most of us will problably have a lot off it already which shows they have put together a good selection that the public want to hear if you havent bought any upto date music lately then it's got some really good material on it.pity it dont come out more often so we can just get the album instead of buying cd singles.

I have most of them.....To claim free drink turn up in my local...........Dublin Ireland :L

So you use Napster, I tried napster for a while but couldnt get on with it as the tracks are DRM protected which is fine, I can understand why they protect their tracks.......
But it means I can play the tracks in the DJ software I want to use......

Any sugestions.....are their other download sites? Or maybe decent DJ software that allows use of DRM protected tracks?

Nick
Danno13
Well you can still use Napster to burn the tracks to a CD (you have to pay 79p per track, not the subscription)

Once they're on a CD then you can play them how you like.

Also, you can play DRM files with the newer versions of PCDJ and i think all versions of Virtual DJ.
