Hi all.
Haven taken delivery of a set of Sony MDR Z700 recently, I feel I should warn anyone thinking about buying these (or any) headphones off Ebay.
AVOID.
Upon opening the parcel, it took all of say, 5 seconds to see they were fake.
This was despite all the assurances by the seller that they were genuine.
I have gone through 4 sets of these over the years and suffered the usual breaks in the swivel joint, and am familiar enough with them at this stage to know how to spot a fake.
The audio quality from these (genuine that is) headphones is top class, particularly for DJ'ing, and also the fact that they insulate so much exterior sound means little volume is required to hear the music clearly, a major plus for the ear drums, so happy was I to buy another set, expecting about 18 months life doing about 3 gigs a week.
Its a case of you get what you pay for, but being lied to about the things being genuine when they are clearly not is wrong.
Little wonder the seller’s feedback was private...
Should have known.
The truth of it is most of the electronic goods I have purchased from EBay have been fake. To be fair, all have worked, but getting a controller for my sons PS2 for a fiver and pro headphones are different matters entirely.
So please take heed when buying stuff off Ebay.
If it’s too cheap, ask yourself why....javascript:emoticon(':wall:')
