LOL in the Case of Mikeee and Spin I bet it's since they invented the Valve Amplifier .
In my Case, D.J'ing since I was 13 (1986), and I started "The Ultimate Roadshow" on my 15th Birthday in 1988

I heard that Mikee did his first disco using a pair of H&H Hollow logs and a Tannoy- T-rex thigh bone...
The gig got lots of good reviews with pictures (of stick men, on the inside of cave walls).
Me?...I've been doing it (and DJ'ing ) since 1985... thats urrmm (socks off as its over ten)...18 years...and Im still using the same pair of Technics SL1210's (although they're on their 8th set of audio cables between them).

Did my first gig at age 15 (30 years ago). Started '5Star Disco' 3 years ago after a paternity break. Total DJ experience 15 years (or is that 1 year 15 times??)

Started back in 1994. I was dragged away from a pub on warm and sunny afternoon as the disco for a local company fun day/evening never turned up! (What actually happend is the deposit was never paid to the disco!) Anyway knowing I had tonnes of chart cd's I loaded my friends car with a right jumble of stuff! Home hi-fi, my brother keyboard amp and some party lights and headed off to the local rugby club! Every one knew the problem and I was an emergency measure! Had a fab night, music wasn't very loud, and I only had 1 CD player!
So I got the money and used it to buy my first mixer and second hand amp.
Nightsounds was born.

Mikeee? you're making comments like that, when you know that you're going to be "tied" to a stand at Plasa EG: Easily locatable for 4 days....
Thats living dangerously...what do you do for an encore?
