OK, I know its only 597 at the time of me typing this, but the membership is currently expanding at an average of 4 members per day...so I wanted to be the first to say to Chris:
CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS - YOUR EFFORTS ARE MAKING THIS FORUM ONE OF THE LARGEST, MOST INFORMATIVE AND FRIENDLIEST FORUMS FOR DJ'S ON THE INTERNET TODAY.
Thats quite a unique acheivement, especially in the UK.
Keep up the good work, and us moderators will do all we can to help you keep this forum expanding at an ever increasing rate, with ever increasing community spirit - thats if the community spirit could get any better.

I just wish a few more of the new members would post a little more.

Im sure that they will post more once they'e got a "feel" for the forum in general.
Theres too things to consider from a "newbies" point of view.
1) Every single post is a "new post" to them, thats a lot of unread posts to catch up on. OK, they wont read all of them...theres over 10,000... but no-one wants to post something, only to find that the questions already been asked. Although in this industry, if the question was last asked 6 months ago, theres probably a different answer to it by now.
2) Some of the Newbies to the forum, may well be newbies to DJ'ing itself too. These "New blood" to the industry, will certainly want to do a bit of reading, prior to posting, partially to ensure that they dont duplicate previous questions, but then that doesnt really matter, since the same question will have different viewpoints each day, thanks to the daily increase in membership.

Chris, I think you'd be safe enough editing the CSL website now to show "Come and join our 600 members", instead of the 430 currently mentioned.

I need to edit the website full stop!. Half of the stock, such as the lasers are no longer stocked, and i've got several new items to add.
May leave it until after the PLASA, since no doubt there will be a few new offerings from several manufacturers!. Also going to add a status panel to the forum, showing updated member numbers and latest posts in realtime, to save me manually updating.

Its just typical isnt it, the one time that I make a post about the membership numbers being nnn in so many hours, and "fizzle", it doesnt.
