Hi guys I have just purchased the Edirol UA101 10 in 10 out USB sound card..

I have had a play with it today and have found the quality so much better than the Soundblaster Audigy I have been using.

I use ots DJ for the disco and PCDJ for karaoke.

I ran these two programs and also ran adobe audition..

i used chan 1 & 2 for speakers out on Ots and 3 & 4 for the monitor chan...

I then used 5 & 6 for PCDJ karaoke and recorded the output from my mixer back into 7 & 8...through to the adobe audition software.

This card ran all the sound in and out with out a glitch.... I will be using it through my PA on Sat night but if it sounds as good through the rig as it did through the headphones I will be very happy.....

If your thinking of upgreading your USB card I think this might be a good choice...

They also do a firewire version FA101 but you need a six pin Firewire on your machine and mine only has a four pin....

Has anyone any comments on this unit?????

How Much, I looked at them, but didn't like the £250 price tag.

Yes its steep #I know but I think its worth it for what it can do and the improvement in sound quality...

And its less than 1 gigs fee for most on here... and most would not grumble at £250 + VAT for a light fx...

I used it Sat night at a wedding in newbury... Just got back. Was a great bit of kit never glitched once and sounded so much better than the Soundblaster card much more detail in the music and solid HF with a cleaner LF

If your serious about your sound consider it... Its a well built unit and IMO worth the dosh... Also as its 10 in and 10 out you can record as well as playout at the same time and as i said above you can run 2 or 3 progs and give them all there own audio out on your mixer....

Hope this helps
