Leave it up to us eh?

Alright - lets vote for a time!!!!!!!

No beating around the bush - the larger vote wins!

Only serious attending members need apply!
martink
Voted for 3 o'clock based on the fact I'll be running round like nutter checking out all the new gadgets prior to that!

having said that not too fussed...
Eskie
I put 1pm cos I have to leave b4 4pm as I'm doing a gig that evening
Gary
I voted for 3pm as, for me, the later the better.

However, as I'll be working on one of the stands (its 30ft x 30ft x 8 hours x 4 days....my poor feet), so I might not be able to come away for long - I might be able to see more of you if you come around to the stand and introduce yourselves - I'll let you know the stand number as soon as I find out.

Theres a strong likelihood that the stand is going to be very busy, due to some hot new products (sorry, did that sound like advertising rolleyes.gif ) but I should be able to sneak off for a few minutes...I'll be the one with the sore throat... laugh.gif
Chrispy
Okay, so the place to meet seems like the TVDJA stand (You may as well sign up whilst you are waiting! tongue.gif ).

I have already arranged to meet several other members / suppliers at various times throughout the day, however i'll try and be there at the main meeting point at whatever time you decide on smile.gif - if i've not met you all previously by that point!.

Don't forget that the PLASA chat session is scheduled for next Wednesday Night (3rd) at 8pm to finalise all of the arrangements.
martink
Pioneer are very lucky to have you gary tongue.gif
Gary
Pio...who? 533.gif In fact Pioneer are very lucky to have me...I saved them dozens of potential customer problems last year...by educating dozens of their potential customers onto non-Pioneer solutions... biggrin.gif

I'll be on the Denon stand (possibly called "Hayden Labs" who are the UK Distributors for Denon)...Denon are the CD-decks that DONT need to be shipped back to base every 8 months for a bug-fixing software upgrade biggrin.gif biggrin.gif and who's customers enjoy free user loadable upgrades/enhancements, every few months....such as full MP3 functionality, extra features etc..etc...

If anyone wants to PRISE the details of all the bugs that are inherent in Pioneers CDJ-1000's MKI and II's, the CDJ-800, the Pio CMX-5000...etc..etc... EG: why its best not to play CD singles in a CDJ-1000, or why its best to switch off a CDJ-800 inbetween every disc load, or what button not to press on just over 2500 units of the CMX-5000.... 071.gif feel free to ask....Mhaaa ha ha haaaa. 221.gif
YourBigEvent
Voted for 3pm too, then once we have chat (ted up Paula and Karen) we could then look at what other members have recommended and maybe we have not seen yet
Chrispy

Sandwich board....is that similar to a Cheeseboard? Tuna and Sweetcorn on white, please Chris..., or Coronation Chicken, if they're out of Tuna...ta! biggrin.gif

Joking aside...I must say that I am REALLY IMPRESSED with the response to this. The number of of DJ's who have voted (so presumably are attending Plasa) is 12 so far... that might not sound much out of over 500 members, but I used to Admin a forum of around 1800 DJ's and that only got 3 DJ's attending Plasa, last year.

Theres so much more community spirit here, and DJ's obviously keen on checking out whats the latest and greatest stuff to have (and buy off of Chris, as soon as funds permit).

Plasa hint #1: If you like hearing the words "No you cant have one", take your spouse with you...

Plasa hint # 2: Wear comfy shoes

Plasa hint # 3: Theres virtually no seating at Plasa...slumming it on the floor against a concrete wall or pillar, is the norm.

Plasa hint # 4: Wont fit in a bullet point, so I've put it below.

Last year at Plasa, I had a sports holdall in a nice secure location...ever keen to get as much info, about everything, I wandered around in a few dozen brief sortés', getting handed leaflets, specifications, demo CD's, CD-roms, price lists, entire catalogues, the almost "traditional" free copy of that months "DJ Mag", samples, brochures etc,etc,etc.... I'd scuttle back to the holdall and dump each load of "paper trophies" into the holdall, again and again. By the end of Day 4...I went to lift the holdall off the floor and ended up holding two broken handles, with the holdall still firmly on the floor.

Most of the larger stands were using barcode readers last year, so that you could hold out your entry ticket with its unique barcode on it, and then the stand swipes the barcode of the product(s) that you were interested in, a week later (after the staff of each stand recovered)...you'd end up with the paperwork through your letterbox instead. I dont know if barcode scanners are in use this year as well, but you might want to take receive the stuff by post instead of collecting it as you go around Earls Court and then several Tube and Rail stations later...the weight of your carrier bags soon stacks up...

LOL, and it had better keep increasing as well!. I gave away a hell of a lot more free tickets than that on the forum, so I refuse to believe that only 12 are going!. Unless they are gonna stand outside the PLASA at 10AM on Sunday and tout them!.

And all of those other members "Washing their Hair" or Who can't be ars censored.gif ed to attend don't know what they are missing......a chance to examine Karens All over tan for white bits!. smile.gif .

Take Crooksey for example, letting a little thing like being 3000 miles away stop him from attending!. nono.gif

well not really... so far; 5 people have picked 3pm, while 3 have picked 1pm and 3 people 1.30pm, meaning 6 have picked from 1 to 1.30pm, so I wouldn't say that 3pm is by anymeans clearcut from the people who have specified a time so far!
Apart from the sunday, I'll more than likely be there on the wednesday as well, so may see a few of you there then also?
Don't worry Gary, I've heard all about your shirts, so I'll make sure I bring my shades with me smile.gif
paula
I said 1 biggrin.gif As although not confirmed yet myself and Mandy might have to be in Twickenham by 5.

Well - it looks like 2 meeting-up times...so far-ish!

All those up for it - whatever is the largest meeting times - why not say hello twice (and catch up with anyone we have missed!)

You must be joking, I was going with £2K in my pocket, for lot's of goodies, but "due" to unforseen circumstances I might have 50p left. And she how must be obeyed has decided a move is on the cards, I now need £150K mortgage, minimum. Well **** happens.

I have 400 £5 addmisson vouchers for sunday only, and 15 Complimentry tickets, email me with your preference, first come, first served.
