hi my m8 is selling a skytec 500 watt system setup of 300 watt skytec speakers and 500 watt skytec amplifier, he wants £400 pounds it's six months old and still under warrenty i think he'll come done to around £350 what i need to know is have anyone of u folks had anything to do with skytec the same specs as above if possible and since i'm gonna be new starting out is 350 400 a good deal thanks in advance for any replies thumbup.gif

First make sure that the wattage figures are RMS values, or in real terms you may find yourself with only 150W Speakers mad.gif . Skytec like a lot of manufacturers tend to use and publish their budget range using "Peak" or PMPO values.

I can offer a like for like equivalent from Soundlab brand new for slightly less than £350, so 2nd hand the Skytec is not that much of a bargain!. I would get him to lower it to around £250 - £300
