If I could just set the scene from one of my gigs at the weekend.............
It was a venue where they move them all out after the meal to re-set the room. When the guests were told that everything was ready they stormed in and couldn't wait to get going.
For the next 2 hours the dancefloor was full (well it was small
) and they were even dancing on the carpet. During the buffet when the house lights came up I played a few 'Big Band' numbers & still they danced.
Onto part 2 and with a bit of Rock N Roll (never fails - well OK occasionally) the whole place was going wild with whatever I put on etc....................
So you get the picture then from the back of my brain cell I remembered this topic and put on Chain Reaction and everyone sat down
When I analysed this I felt that had I used the version by Steps (or was it S Club 7
) the dancefloor would've kept busy - just wrong song at the wrong time but I did play 30 secs of it
Maybe it'll work this week (if I remember)
