I have just ordered one of these:



I am concerned that although its 12U and 4U (ignore the scale of the image), everything may not fit!

Mixer 9U + wires to come in from bottom 1U and CD Player controler 2U which could be the issue as it may get in the way of the bottom 4U unit, which will be full (nearly - about 3 1/2U ish!)

Any experiences/thoughts?

Did you see my custom made case... i think that is the same principle as what you are thinking of...

My control unit for CD players, had 4 big rubber feet on the rear, the two lower ones had to be removed to allow for the tray unit to slot in comfortably... hopefully, yours should be the same... 12u top should fit a 9u mixer, 2u control unit and 1u for wires, no problems

How much was that case? I'm looking for either that sort of style, or a brief case/pop-up 19inch type for lighting controllers.

Called them twice to check and it will be 3 weeks or so after the order date before I actually get it

Ta Welshy - yes, the U's are all correct and everything should fit taking that into consideration, I am still a bit worried that the CD control unit will be a bit deep and get in the way of the equipment situated in the 4U bit - if it does, then its !

I use the Idex version, and everything fits ok

If you are worried just mount the CD controller on the top bit, above the mixer and fit a 2U blanking plate on the unused front area along with the main Cd unit.

After a bit of a closer look, all should be OK, as there is a bar seperating the top from the bottom!
