But what are these units really like ???? What are the built in programs like ???

Anybody got one who would like to give some feeback. On paper they seem rather fun!

They are used alot by professional installers in nightclub and bar chains, the discharge version is the best and the lamps last much longer. They use the MSD250 which is a whopping lamp but a bit dear to replace. (70-80 quid)

Optics are quite sharp but need very regular cleaning, including the internal gobo and colour wheels.

The discharge lamps last ages but when they start to fail they go dim giving the impression of bad optics and they start to run hot, causing the thermal trip to cut off after half an hour....so keep the lamp fresh.

Lovely build quality like all Martin stuff so no worries there.

Nice effect which I can recommend.
