Morning pop pickers,

I have a beringher VMX1000 mixer. It has a effects button on the mic channels but no effects. On the rear of the mixer there are 3 jack sockets to plug some sort of effects( Echo) device in to create a echo on my mics (which I need for karaoke). Can anyone tell me what bit of kit I need?

Thanks to all. thanks.gif

Any reverb / echo will do. I personally use Zoom,Alesis and Behringer.

Use the insert jack. This is a stereo jack. You need a stereo jack lead to two mono jacks.

The tip of the stereo is the send and sends the signal from the effects insert to the input of the effects unit, the ring of the stereo jack is the return (from the effects) and comes from the "Out" of the effect unit.

These leads are sometimes refered to as "Y" leads.

I have one of those too. Nice unit, but takes a bit of experimenting with!!

How much can I expect to pay for one of these bits of kit? Second hand will do. I do karaoke in a pub on Sundays but the karaoke gear is already there.

The reason am after an effects thing is for when I do private parties.
