I've just heard that parts of the U.S are suffering from a massive power failure, including the area in which this forums hosts are located.

I've just recieved an email informing me that the Datacentre is currently running on generated power, but downtime could become a possibility depending on on the length and severity of the blackout which is reportedly affecting all of the East Coast and Canada .

I have taken back ups of this site, but if you get an error or a 404 page when you try and access this forum during tomorrow, you know what it will be!.

yeah i heard that on the ferry ride back...saw the newspaper (the first in a week ) ....harsh sucks...i have no idea what's going on...what's going on ppl ?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I know that they don't know the initial cause of it yetm but they believe that it's down to the dodgy grid system and nothing sinister, so I wouldn't worry too much.
