I used to love gigging. I'd get home on a high, buzzing with the excitement of it all. As I got used to it, the thrill died a little. Even so, every now and then I'd have a good gig where everyone was dancing or they were up on the tables and I'd get home dying for the next gig so that I could get the feeling all over again.
I've just done two weddings in a row. At both gigs, I had people dancing before the buffet, singing during the buffet and then the floor was at least busy for most of the rest of the night. On occassions, the floor was too small to accommodate the amount of people dancing. People cheered when I played certain songs. The nights ended with cries of "more!"
So why don't I feel elated anymore when I have an outstanding night? Do you guys get that feeling anymore?
