I would love to know that of those of you that run disco's, how many of you beatmatch and mix your tracks?

I am asking because, as a die hard mix junkie I have a real problem keeping my hands off the mixer, and can see myself remixing the tracks rather than just letting people hear them. Does anyone else do this? i.e. mixing 'My Girl Lollipop' with 'Rock the funky beats'

is there an organisation for people with my problem? overzelous dj's anonymous, maybe?

I think you'll find that around 80% of the D.J's on here do, at some point beatmatch, albeit at certain venues. We had a poll a few weeks back on this subject, so I'm sure that you'll get a few interesting answers to your question!.

depends on the venue. When I'm playing off CD/vinyl i can have my PC running as an FX processor, n that can sound nice (Reason 2). Tis a bit harder when playing muic off PC though...

wow jon, do you take vinyl, cd's and a pc to your gigs? I generally use 1 of em cuz I cant be assed to take so many media types, allthough i use all 3 too.

Personally, I would like an artic with removable side, have all my gear set up, and make em dance in the car park. A few years ago it wouldnt have sounded that outrageous (I've been to a couple like that in my youth), but now? 014.gif they all seem to happen in the nevada desert.
