Can anyone help?
I've been asked to do an 'Air Guitar' competition during a party but what are the best tunes to air guitar to. Should they be all guitar or can the singer come in.
The best I've come up with is Sweet Child of Mine - Guns and Roses and Bohemien Rapsody - Queen.
Are there better ones and is there particular ones for this type of competition.
Looking forward to your replies
Anne.
PS the comp is to night (Saturday) I was given loads of warning yes 12 hours

Bohemien Rapsody doesn't have much guitar on it for the first third of the song,
you could try:
Thin Lizzy - The boys are back in town
Lenny Kravitz - Are you gonna go my way
Deep Purple - Smoke on the water

Deep Purple AGHHHH It's the only guitar riff my daughter can play and she plays it and plays it and plays it. She has now got into listening to Deep Purple - Daddy's proud

I reckon you need stuff with a good riff and/or solo in it so the crowd can all see one hand moving up and down the fret board and the other strumming, plucking or power-chording!!!
G'n'R sounds good, Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go, Jimi Hendrix, Shadows(!), anything with a guitar!!!!

Ben's idea of the Shadows is a good one.
Maybe "Ghostriders"??

As we're obviously going downhill here, how about Duane Eddy then??
Bryan Adams - Summer Of '69.
George Thorogood - It Wasn't Me. (Play THAT one as loud as you can!)

Too late for your event, but may favourite guitar solo of all time has to be the guitar instrumental in the middle of The Carpenters - Goodby to Love.
