It's really sad, just been killing a bit of time by watching VH1 Classic - Top 40 Classic no 2's (no not classical tunes)

Just wondered out of interest how often you play the following (they not in countdown order - I just picked some classics out of what they played)

1) B52's - Love Shack
2) Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
3) Dire Straits - Walk Of Life
4) The Who - My Generation
5) M People - Movin On Up (tuuune!!)
6) Temptations - My Girl
7) Elton John - Rocket Man
8) Elvis Presley - Suspicious minds

This is for no other reason, but just for something to do.

I have a problem with Heather Smalls voice (M People) she sings as though she is really straining her voice so if i can help it I wont play her.
I did play 'Proud' the other day at a sports dinner as the last tune and it went down a storm.

Leonna - Get the B52's because it will be asked for one day.
Andy Westcott
B52s only out of that list, although I carry all but the Who and the Temptations tracks.

Far too many other good tracks about to play any of those unless requested, I reckon! smile.gif
mick
We play most of these tracks especially the B52,s, all good tracks though. We work at a golf club where they always ask for loads of M People (don't know the reason) but we just oblige - mick
C.S
Only play them if requested.

Leonna - Get the B52's because it will be asked for one day.

It is asked for all the time but I grudge paying £10.99 for the 1 song on their album that I need.

This was one of the reasons I was thinking of downloading some of those songs that I don't have and putting them on one CD. Hoping it would save money on buying loads of CD's just for that 1 song I could do with, like Footloose. Get asked for that quite a bit but don't have it.

It's on quite a few compilation albums Leonna, have a look here:

http://www.gracenote.com/music/search-adv....shack&s=1&n=10&

There may be other tracks on these that are worth buying the CD for.
Corabar Steve
Got them all, but the only one that get's asked for / played on a regular basis is B52s. The Who & Elvis are next on the list. The rest are only if requested.
BigBen
I haven't played any of these for quite a while. Dire Straits is a good one if you have line dancers in attendance though!
