I want the best quality equipment which brand is the best (I know pioneer is the best but I would like to know the difference between the CDJ 800 and the CDJ 1000.) anyways, pioneer is one of the best, but i don't know much about cd decks, so just hang tight. do you need a supplier/distrubtor for DJ stuff? ask me, and i'll give u some that are located in that states.

Welcome to the Forum RK32. I hope that you'll post lots, learn lots, and make friends too.

The prices here in the UK are awful, thats not due to individual retailers or manufacturers, its just down to Sales tax, Levies, import costs - all sorts of government things which we really get hung up on.

I'm personally very "up" on CD-decks - its a passion of mine. I'll very happily tell you all the differences between the CDJ-800 and the CDJ-1000 (including the discontinued MKI and the newer, slightly different MKII). However, if you're looking at that end of the marketplace, you should also take a look at the Denon DN-S5000, it does everything that the CDJ's can do, and a vast array of features besides. However the DN-S5000 hasnt been out very long, so not many have heard of it, to compare it with the CDJ-1000's which are approaching their 4th birthday in technology terms.

What percentage of your usage will you be using the cd-decks for scratching on, if any.

Im with gary on the fact that the denon dn-s5000 is the best cd player on the market at the moment. i was also under the ilusion that pioneer was the best untill i used both of the players and it was clear the denon was much better!

Welcome, have fun and listen well, there a lots of good folks on here who know where they're at.

me, I prefer Pioneer, I found the denon's I used to used a bit to clunky for my particlar taste.

I have a Pioneer CMX5000, very smoothe operation, reliable and some nice touches. I'm no expert, I just know what I like.
