I have 6 effect lights all with no bags/boxes. I can only carry one in each hand at a time which means 3 trips to the car just for lights, (I do have a roadie but it could be easier for him).

Now it would be easier if I had a case/box/bag etc to put them in , I think all 6 in one box could be a little heavy for one to carry but perhaps 2 or 3 in a case?

How do you carry your lights? box, case, bag etc?

all my light effects are in Adda super cases.. 2 per case. keeps them safe and protected in transit and easy to carry in and out of the gigs..

I have a mixture of ADDA and Prolight polypropylene cases plus a couple of full flight aluminium ones ( heavy ).

Easy to carry, easy to stack in my van and looks professional when taken into gigs.

Adda Super Cases here too.

They have a range of standard cases for the popular light effects, but can also custom make cases to any size and almost any colour.

Nice and light too.

Anyone have any links to who sells these Adda cases please??

I have seen the Source Manufacturing Padded bags being sold of really cheaply at the moment.
I am wanting to get a couple of them for my Abstract Twisters. Does anyone know the size dimensions of the Source Samurai, as I am hoping this bag might fit my Extreme Twisters

Cheers,

Nathan

I was ideally looking for the padded bags but don't know where to find those either.

£5 plastic tubs from poundstretcher, lined with foam.

I had a load of flightcases & padded bags made by Savill Cases. Here's some photo's of the padded bags I had made for my EVL Spins:

I had 2 bags made there a couple of months ago, it's black, it's extremely light, holds 2 Spins, has a shoulder strap and 2 hand straps. I forget what the exact price was cos I had a load of cases made including these soft bags but I think it was around £60 or £70.
If you call Savill ask for Clive, he's a top bloke. Tell him you want the same soft bags that he made for Tony in November, or you could ask for it to be slightly deeper if you want it to hold the Spins with G Clamps on.
I'm having some more padded bags made at the moment by Savill to hold 4 par 56 cans.

The source samurai flight bag should fit the abstract twisters. I currently have two of these to store my njd datamoons and the datmoons are similar in dimension to the twisters. DFB Sound & Light are selling them at a real reasonable price. They have a side pocket to store connecting cables as well. However you will have to remove the g-clamp prior to storing them. Just be careful with the zips because they are not the best. The zip on one of mine broke the first time I used it. May just ahve been a one off tho i suppose

I think you're right to be concerned about the collective weight of having "too many" lights in one case. Especially when you consider that what seems managable at the front of the night, might not seem quite so managable at the tail end of the night, especially up a flight of stairs.

Also, without wanting to depress you too much, everything will seem heavier in 10 years time - and a good set of flightcases should easily last that time - even if the lights are old hat by then.

Make them yourself its far cheaper!

Terralec sell all the necessary stuff, and get b and q or homebase to cut the wood for you...

Easy peasy.

I can certainly vouch for ADDA, they're brill. All my lighting and some of my other kits boxes are made by them - lightweight and durable.

Monica's part of the establishment and she's lovely to deal with - for custom cases send measurements (and a sketch as necessary) and what you get from them is just fine.
