You have all the appropriate liceneces to use a laptop ect. So that side of DJing with a laptop is sorted.
How do you go about categorising your music. Do you put the music in one folder or several?
If you organise your music in serveral folders what do you label these folders?
By decades? By years? Genre of music?
If its genre, how do you choose a genre of music for a song (because on persons rock music, could be another persons pop music).
Is there another way you do it? I'm interested as to how people organise there music?
Cheers

I use itunes to arrange into folders, and then just keep them like that, works damn well if you ask me.

Chart - Contains
- 1990s
- 2000s
- 2005 - which will eventually move into 2000s when 2006 is fully underway, has chart albums in date order, so I can see what is the latest stuff, such as 2005-12 DMC DJO083 etc

PS
I also have loads of different categories in OTS which are assigned to each mp3/OTS file...so I can have a rock song, which is also categorised as a party song...so I can find it easily...eg Darkness I believe in a thing called love or queen we will rock you.
That is the beauty of OTS.
