So if you didn't know, Shayne Ward won the X Factor and his debut single "That's My Goal" is the bookies favourite for number 1 this Christmas.
The CD single is released on Wednesday but if you are working over the next few days you can download the song (for £1.50) from here:

I actually like the song...
What I thought was interesting was the fact that a friend of mine who works at a radio station said they all received a copy of Shayne's version at 10.30 last night via ISDN.
The days of CD are well and truly numbered.....
...hold on a minute, didn't they say that about vynil?

Most'first plays' are done that way, the record company send a signal down the line at say, 08:03:00 to every station (after the new feed), then Devon's Gemini FM can say they have the first play, along with every other GWR station in the UK, and many other independant ones too.

I have not followed the series, so I don't really care either. BUT I did hear the song this morning for the first time on the radio, and it is NOT memorable. All I can remember is a well sung, bland ballad. So I think it will be of no use to us on the whole.

Oh goodness me, no use to us whatsoever! Few of these TV generated hits ever are!
Anyhow, I preferred Brenda's voice - she eally had the makings of a pop diva. Superb, strong voice, and dare I say it, SEXY!! Presumably someone will sign her up anyhow, if they haven't already done so.
Pity they leave it up to the public to decide the winner, as this is just the sector least qualified to judge. And no, I doubt many of those who voted would actually buy the song........
