Brian, go to www.almightyrecords.com they have loads of the right stuff as played in gay clubs. A lot of these were played on the Queer as Folk series. I use some of their mixes at gigs. I have done a couple of gigs with a high proportion of gay clients and they really are up for it. Hope this helps - mick
Ian Stewart
Brian,

why not pop down to a few Gay Clubs yourself, listen to what's played
Gary
I suppose that "Britney Spears: I'm not a girl, Not yet a woman" could receive mixed reactions. whistling.gif

How about Wham! "I'm your man".
milhouse
I do a monthly gay night in a nightclub. Current floorfillers are:

Lets hear it for the boy
Britney Spears - Toxic
Whitney - I wanna dance with somebody
Madonna - Hung Up
Sugababes - Push the button
Pussycat Dolls - Dont cha
Kylie - On a night like this / Cant get you out of my head
You spin me right round (like a record)
Sweet Dreams
Christina - Dirrty

and they all love Saturday night by Whiggy biggrin.gif

A lot of gay clubs play Euro Dance and Trance - the kind of stuff with female vocals. I think this is the stereotypical "gay music" as its catchy, upbeat etc - which is fine, and I believe to be very popular, yet I always play chart and cheese and thats what they always ask for. We tried sticking a dance DJ on one month and we ended up closing early wacko.gif
DJ Foureyes
I was working last night and there were a LOT of gay guys who asked for-

anything Kylie
anything Dannii Minogue
anything by Sonia (remember her?
You spin me right round(like a record)- Dead or Alive
Hi Energy- Evelyn Thomas
I think we're alone now- Tiffany
Hung Up-Maddona

Give them a try
DJ SPARKO
in my experience from going out with a few gay mates they love house music usually funky house. the gay villige in manchester kicks this type of music out 247 mainly for the younger gay community

"Best part of breakin up" By ??Ronnie Griffith??

Ian has the best idea. I go (with my wife) as a foursome to Birmingham's Nightingale club occasionally, always a great laugh, but usually accompanied by a hangover next day! Go take a look, you will be quite safe!!
