brianmole 0
Hi all, I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night. I am booked to do a young lady's 18th. She has requested some dance, some cheese, and a big load of urban. I have most of the tracks requested, but I always like to try and bring a bit of the club to these young adults, so I would really appreciate a bit of advice if you are a club DJ doing loads of upfront stuff.... What is blowing up in the following genres on your dancefloors right now? R&B Hip-hop Drum 'n' bass Dancehall Garage Cheers, Brian http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/kid.gif Pics to follow... RobbieD 0
Some Great Tunes listed above, but you may want to also include some of the newer stuff (the first two are essential): Sean Paul - Ever Blazin' (BIG BIG Tune!!!) 50 Cent - Window Shopper (Expect to get requested lots) Lil Kim - Lighters Up (Big Tune!) Pussycat Dolls - Stickwitu (May get requested, but may not dance - that's what happened to me - Down Tempo, but still good) Eminem - When I'm Gone (I've not had requestes yet, but Kiss is playing this lots, so you know the kids will love it) John Legend ft. Lauryn Hill - So High (Remix) (Not sure how popular this is, but getting lots of airplay, and is quality!)

Dynamicdiscos 0
Yeah I have been experiencing this a lot lately where I get requests for songs so many times in and evening but you can't dance to them. Why don't we start making hellium filled bubble wrap?<P> It would help keep postage costs down.
BigBen 0
Not trying to be the forum ogre or anything but I hate just about every song listed in this thread. I find this kind of music stunningly bad. Apologies to those of you who love it, I'm not trying to upset or offend - it is just my opinion. [insert quirky comment]

Dynamicdiscos 0
You have to admit some of it is pretty http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/pooh.gif But I like quite a lot of it. I will be thinking about you enjoying yourself whilst I am away all weekend on a grueling army training weekend. Shooting things, running around in the cold and dark and sleeping on a bard matress (Urgh!) without my cuddly cat http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/sad.gif Why don't we start making hellium filled bubble wrap?<P> It would help keep postage costs down. Leonna 0
Why don't you try some more what is probably classed as 'commercial dance' or maybe Old Skool Club Classics. How about:- Sandstorm by Darude Zombie Nation by Kernkraft Logical Song by Scooter (my kids love this but then they are only 6 and 11) Set you Free - N-Trance No Limits - 2 Unlimited - good fun dance you can get them to do with this - actions can be provided. With a some good lasers etc. I love having a bop to these ones.

brianmole 0
Dr Pressure is a Mash up of the mighty Mylo - drop the pressure from last year, and the Miami sound machine (ft Gloria Estefan http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/yucky.gif ) - Doctor Beat which was a hit in the mid 80's. Leonna 0
QUOTE (brianmole @ Nov 17 2005, 06:57 PM) but I always like to try and bring a bit of the club to these young adults, R&B Hip-hop Drum 'n' bass Dancehall Garage Cheers, Brian http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/kid.gif Pics to follow... I thought from Brian's requested he wanted something a bit less popish, which if it is in the charts it is, and something that would go down better in a 'club'. Without going down the hard core Brighton/Ibiza Club scene (Hip/Hop, Garage, Drum n Bass) I thought these might have been a 'gentler' introduction than some of the stuff they might get there. As someone who goes clubbing in Brighton a fair bit, none of those listed previous to mine would have got played in a serious Brighton 'club'. Even my suggestions would only have been likley to be played in Paradox or Event II as they are too commercial. Sorry Brian if I have been barking up the wrong tree. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/hide.gif
Dynamicdiscos 0
I have to admit I'm a huge Gloria Esefan Fan and was really chuffed when Mylo released this. It's a fantastic track.
