Gary 0
Cor! The entire year, only saw 14 artists tip the top. Frankie Goes to Hollywood sat on top it all, for 15 weeks in total, with 3 huge hits. 5 weeks with "Relax", 9 weeks with "Two Tribes" and 1 week with "The power of love". Lionel Richie kept "Hello" at the no.1 position for 6 weeks, the same duration managed by Stevie Wonder with "I just called to say I love you". Just a week short, was Band Aid "Do they know its Christmas?". Duran Durans "Reflex" was the only tune to stay No.1 for 4 weeks. 3 Weeks though! Throar! thats a different kettle of fish: Nenas "99 red balloons", Wham!s: "Freedom" and Chaka Khans "I feel for you" all did 3 weeks, so too did George Michael on his own but he had chocolate all round his mouth, as he'd been Careless with his Whisper. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/rolleyes.gif Wham! were back at the top again for two weeks, with "Wake me up before you go go", in which George sung the lyrics, "Coz I aint planning on going solo...." (Watch out Mr Ridgely...he's fibbing). Also doing well out of his group was Paul McCartney, with 2 weeks at the top with the Pipes of Peace. And if Jim Diamond thought that saming himself after a precious stone would have kept him at No.1 for more than a week, well, he should have known better... But which No1 from this year goes down best on your dancefloor? Votes away chaps and chapess's. http://www.dj-forum.co.uk/html//emoticons/042.gif

nrgize 0
Even though it was the year I was born I had to choose Wham-Wake me up before you go go, as I quite like this song, and even now I play it myself and still proves popular!
